  • We’re considering your Okavango Adventure and would like some additional information. Our likely dates are the 1 or 15 Sept or 4 October departures and wonder what your recommendation would be. We would like to miss the late summer tourists yet not be too late that wildlife and bird viewing becomes a problem. It would be good to have an estimate of the non-included food costs. Also is you have any advice on extending the Okavango tour into Zambia. I think we would like to make the Zambia section self guided/driven if it’s feasible to rent an appropriate vehicle in Livingston for a couple of weeks driving in Zambia (I once lived near the Lochinvar Ranch on the Kafue Flats and wish to revisit, plus going to the Llwangwe Valley parks.) We lived in Uganda for a couple of years and traveled a lot in Africa and are probably prepared to be on our own in Zambia. Finally, do you have and advice for people who might want to be self guiding and driving in Botswana? Is it practical to cover the same ground that your tour does, and work with your company on arranging transport and accommodations? Thanks Alan
