SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH—Christopherson Travel Group (CTG), bucking the national downward economic travel trend, was ranked as the sixth top U.S. business travel agency for percentage of growth in 2002 in the May 26 Business Travel Survey issue of Business Travel News. Only 17 of the top 75 U.S. business travel agencies recorded any sales growth in 2002, according to the national travel industry journal.
Mike Cameron, president of CTG, had this to say, “Christopherson Travel was fortunate to be one of the top growth stories nationwide. We were already well positioned as the premier business travel management company in the Intermountain West before the downturn. Having the right people, the right technology, and the right focus, paid off at a time when corporations were looking for intelligent methods to stretch their travel budgets.”
CTG is the exclusive Utah-Idaho affiliate of WorldTravel BTI and ranked fourth among their 43 U.S. affiliates. Business Travel News listed CTG at No. 13 for U.S. agencies using the Worldspan® computer reservation system.
Christopherson’s upward trend has continued according to Cameron, with sales up 25 percent in the first quarter of 2003. “We continue to invest in people and technology to maintain our recognition as a powerful value proposition to the business community,”said Cameron.
